The season is upon us, and we’re starting to plan for Burn Fund Game weekend!
We have the opportunity to organize a handful of events, but before locking anything in, we want your input.
After all, you’re the ones making the trip and being part of the celebration.
Since a number of guys are coming in from out of town, we want to make the most of your time here by lining up a few events and activities if you're able to take part.
We’re currently looking at scheduling things from Friday night, September 19th, through Sunday, September 21st, and we’d love to know which events you'd be interested in and able to attend.
Here are a few things we’re working on:
Friday Night – Alumni Poker Tournament
Chances Casino, a proud sponsor of the team, has offered us a private room for an alumni-only poker night. Details are still in the works, but we need to know who would be interested in attending if this goes ahead.
Saturday – Gameday Brunch
We're thinking of a Saturday morning brunch to kick off gameday. We want this to be a family function, it could be a great opportunity for them to join in and share the experience with you and your old teammates.
Locker Room Wall Signing
As many of you know, the original locker room wall with all of our signatures was lost in a fire. We’d love to give everyone a chance to sign the new one and keep that tradition alive.
Gameday BBQ
This one’s a no-brainer—food, laughs, and football. Count on it!
Sunday – Golf Round
We’re considering a round of golf Sunday morning. We originally thought about doing this Saturday, but it felt like it would take too much time away from the group. We’d rather spend that day together, not split up into small pockets of players.
Top 10 List of the Most Memorable Moments from the 2000 season
We’re putting together a Top 10 List of the Most Memorable Moments from the 2000 season, and we want to hear from YOU, the alumni who lived it!
Whether it was a big play at a pivotal moment, locker room memories, road trip stories, or championship clinching drives. We want to remember pretty much anything that captured the magic of that year.
Once we’ve collected everyone’s submissions, we’ll compile a list and send it out so you can vote on them to get our Top 10 moments, which will be unveiled at the game itself
Let’s relive the best of that unforgettable season together. We can’t wait to hear what’s been living in your memory all these years!
