Hello Everyone as we are waiting to get our latest newsletter compiled we thought we would begin letting folks know what events are coming in the next month.
So, to kick of our workshops for this year we are proud to announce that Zoe Robson from Fleece 4 ewe will be here on the Sunday the15th of February to pass on her amazing talent. Zoe is a self taught local needle felt artist from just outside Huntly.
Zoe's work was featured in many articles recently and you can see it all through the gallery. Her workshop will be on how to create a landscape scene with depth and character there are some samples of what she will be teaching on the day in the pictures attached.
This workshop costs £100 and includes a light lunch and drink of your choice at our sister cafe The Gather'n just a minutes walk up the street and tea/coffee cake during the break. You will learn about wool and the techniques of needle felting in a warm relaxed creative environment with lots of inspirational work around. We will start the day by making a small card to get the feel of working with the needles and wool, then we move onto the full mountain scene perhaps even some sheep or flowers will be added. No experience is needed and all materials and equipment will be included. This is not a strenuous class so suitable for all.
The workshop will begin at 10.30am at Flock & Saunter 79 high street Aberlour, We aim finish around 4pm. You will leave with your very own landscape scene and framing options are also available.
As always all attendees are given 10% discount on any materials or equipment purchases.
