Andy is an ecologist working to assess and reduce the impacts of renewable energy projects on wildlife populations. He has an interest in most wildlife, but otters are a personal favorite. He is super interested in mapping data electronically including data collected by wildlife groups in order to improve our knowledge of wildlife populations and aid local conservation. He'll talk to us about otters, otter populations in the UK and The Calderdale Otter Project: A citizen science distribution study.
