It is believed the first sourdough bread was made in Egypt around 1500 BC. Come learn the basics behind this ancient style of baking, the health benefits it provides, and leave ready to practice this skill in your own kitchen. Follow along with Briana Cashman of Owl Hill Homestead as she breaks down the steps of a simple artisan loaf, and shows you an easy festive twist to impress your holiday tablemates. You’ll learn to bake intuitively, troubleshoot common issues, and get ideas for all that discard! Leave class with your own very own sourdough baby!
When: Tuesday, December 2nd at 5:30pm – Learn how to make your own Loaf of Sourdough, $65/person(will run approximately 1.5 – 2 hours max)
Where: Stonewall Farm, 242 Chesterfield Rd, Keene, NH. In the Learning Center, first floor (same building as the Farm Store)
Cost: $65/person and includes a mason jar, sourdough starter, Q&A with the instructor, and an informational handout. You’ll gain the skills and understanding to make a holiday-themed artisan loaf as well as learn how to take care of your sourdough starter.
