Georgia Rose is an 18 year old singer/songwriter living in the Peterborough area (Lakefield and Douro-Dummer). She is self taught, and began playing guitar, singing and writing songs in the summer of 2022. By the end of 2023 she started performing publicly at open mics, playing breaks and getting her own gigs. In April of 2024 she placed in the top 3 at Peterborough’s Got Talent (earning herself a spot performing at Peterborough's Rib Fest that July), and in September of 2024 was awarded 1st place in The Kawartha Lakes Alliance of Singer/Songwriters’ Contest for her song "Where Did We Go?" A music video was the first prize gift which is in its final stages of editing (filmed in 3 different locations near the Peterborough region by the talented artist, Artemis Chartier). The audio production of the single (producer Michael Phillips) is also close to completion.
Over the past 18 months Georgia Rose has gained a lot of experience and confidence – with mentorship from a few seasoned musicians. She has performed at a wide variety of venues in Peterborough and surrounding areas, and grown accustomed to playing with a band when the opportunity arises. She delights in connecting with others through her music.
Georgia Rose performed at Showplace on March 26th as part of Peterborough Performs V - Musicians United to End Homelessness. She had the honour of opening up for Nicholas Campbell and the Metre Cheaters on Saturday April 26th at theBiltmore Theatre in Oshawa, and was accompanied by the renowned Melissa Payne on Fiddle!

This summer Georgia Rose is doing gigs in Parry Sound again as she has returned to her park position on Georgian Bay. On July 12th she is playing at ‘The Shindig’ at Two Blokes Cider in Seagrave (not far from Uxbridge). Among the musical wonders sharing the bill are The Weber Brothers and Emily Burgess. She will be coming back for events in Peterborough, including The Rib Fest Hootenanny on August 23rd. In September she is playing at the Creekside Festival in Apsley (5th to 7th). Georgia Rose's main genre is Indie Pop, but she plays a wide variety of cover songs along with her original material. Something for everyone! Georgia Rose is a hard working, passionate artist who has been gaining the recognition of fans, local musicians and media personalities in the Peterborough and surrounding areas.
