Cheshire Railroad History Talk, Wednesday, October 29, 6:30 –7:30 pm Trains have rolled through portions of Cheshire County since 1847. The three main roads that were based in Cheshire County were the Ashuelot, Cheshire, and Manchester & Keene Railroads. Several other peripheral roads touched corners of the county. An illustrated presentation by Senior Historian, Alan Rumrill, will help you learn about the history of these railroads and their impact on the people, businesses, industries, and landscape of southwest New Hampshire.
