Heritage Day

Heritage Day has become a traditional “kick-off to summer” celebration for Kearney residents. The focus of Heritage Day is to build on family unity and community togetherness, recognize park contributors, as well as to provide a formal opportunity to “cut the ribbon” on new features at Yanney Park. In previous years, “Heritage Day” has attracted as many as 3,500 people. Some of the activities this year include: Sue Bush Memorial Run/Walk & Kids Lake Loop, Storybook Walk, Family Fishing Day, giant inflatables for the kids, Cabela’s Kayak Test Drives and concession/food vendors. Additionally, we have an outstanding schedule of musical entertainment, and as always, will conclude the night with an incredible fireworks finale’!
