Kīpaepae Workshop Series

Join us for our Mamao Programsʻ Kīpaepae Workshop Series in Puna where participants of all ages can engage in the preparation and protocols of setting the stone work or paepae of a Lua hale, explore the terminology and techniques of various lashings used in the hale, and participate in hands-on activities to gain a clearer understanding of the connections between this practice and the practice of a koa.
