Since its birth in 2019, mohs has taken up a place at the
heart of European jazz, with three albums and memorable
performances at the the Cully Jazz Festival,
JazzContreband and Suisse Diagonales Jazz, as well as
top jazz clubs including AMR in Geneva and Les Duc des
Lombards in Paris. The quartet has been an opening act
for multiple internationally renowned jazz artists,
including:Avishai Cohen, Alfa Mist, Chief Xian aTunde
Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott) and Kenny Garrett.
Blending acoustic instruments and electronic effects,
sprinkling its jazz with numerous stylistic references and
finely crafted melodies, mohs invites listeners to join a
quest for new soundscapes. The ensemble's name isa
nod to the Friedriech Mohs scale, which classifies
minerals according to their hardness.
