Weave a Contemporary Wall Hanging - FULLY BOOKED

Create a stunning modern wall hanging using the mariposa stitch technique. 'Mariposa' is Spanish for butterfly, and this flowing style is reminiscent of the delicate beauty of butterfly wings.

Using premium hand-dyed raffia, you will explore and experiment with different colours and shapes, and develop your own unique design. You will learn how to begin new projects and grow the size of your work, how you can apply this technique to basketry, and different techniques for finishing. You will also have a lot of fun, and see what emerges when you let your creativity flow!

You will take home a meaningful memento of your time in Cossack, a new sense of creativity, calm and connection, and the skills to continue weaving at home.

This workshop takes place in a welcoming and inclusive space. Beginners are very welcome, as are more advanced weavers.

Please bring your own snacks.
