Imagining Futures Conference

The inaugural Imagining Futures conference, taking place from August 1-4, 2025, at Habib University, Karachi, aims to address systemic social equity challenges in South Asia by fostering localized, action-oriented solutions. With a focus on tangible impact within the next 1-3 years, the conference seeks to move beyond theoretical discourse and create a platform for meaningful engagement between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.

Discussions will emphasize evidence-based policymaking, action research, and cross-sector collaboration to drive lasting change.

The conference will feature research presentations, intervention showcases, poster presentations, plenary sessions, and workshops. Expected outcomes include conference proceedings, an intervention directory, policy briefs, white papers, and the development of a collaborative network to facilitate future work.

Participants are encouraged to examine social equity at various levels—local, regional, national, or international—with an emphasis on practical implementation.
