Join us for a day of FREE live music at City Market and across Kansas City as we celebrate Make Music Day KC, part of a global music celebration held each year on the summer solstice!

Make Music Day is all about bringing people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels together through the joy of music. From singer-songwriters to jazz and funk, City Market will come alive with sounds from local artists all day long—no tickets, no barriers, just music!

🎉 What is Make Music Day?
It’s a worldwide music holiday coordinated locally by Kansas City Parks & Recreation and presented by the NAMM Foundation in partnership with the Make Music Alliance. From patios to pavilions, it’s all about celebrating music in unexpected places.
