Please Join Us for MOVING ARTS 2025!
Coming this July11th-12th, 2025 at The Folly Theater.
"IN THE END" Moving Arts 2025 includes two WORLD PREMIERE performances not to be missed!
Emily Mistretta will create a New Work just for us! Throughout her 20 year dance career Emily Mistretta has worked on multiple choreographic collaborations and movement theories, leading her to find her own signature style and produce her own work using her unique voice.
This season Gabriel Lorena is creating "The Shape of Life" a world premiere Inspired by the biblical idea that God is the potter and we are the clay, my newest creation, The Shape of Life, reflects on personal events of life that have shaped us into who we are today. Questioning our nurture, our past, our present, and what lies ahead,
the piece dives into early recollections, evolving values, traumas and beliefs, emotions, love and loss, scars, successes and failures, life and death.
It is a search for self-discovery, freedom for expression, a path to healing, and communication, and a reminder of the inner strength art helps us uncover.
Also to round off the program our very own Co-Founder/CEO Logan Pachciarz is excited to choreograph and present the music of Emma Ruth Rundle. The piece is titled, “Darkhorse” after the song of the same name. The inspiration of the work is built within the lyrics and the atmosphere of Rundle. The overall feeling is of resilience, passion, and a sense of strength in insurmountable obstacles. This work is dedicated in memoriam to the beautiful Dr. David Donovan who was instrumental during the inception of Moving Arts, a long time friend and supporter who is greatly missed.
Additionally this Summer Season we are thrilled to have familiar faces as well as some new joining us to bring these incredible works to life!
