A Sweet Dreams, Sacred Sound, & Meditation event at Henderson Castle!
Come join us at the incredible Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo for a FREE community event on Thursday, July 31st from 7-8 p.m.
The Sound Medicine Collective will be weaving together a sweet bedtime story, called Yoga Nidra meditation, and sacred sound instruments including: gongs, crystal bowls, hand pan, and drums. All you have to do is lay down, relax, and listen!
Yoga Nidra means “yogic sleep” and it is the sweetest sleep for dreamers! This relaxing meditation takes you to the part of the brain that is intuitive, creative, and where your dreams are born. The vibration of the instruments will shoot you to moon in a relaxing lullaby of healing sound.
This event is appropriate for most ages about 8 and up, but any children in attendance will need to be able to stay still and quiet for the hour long meditation.
*Participants will need to be able to climb two flight of stairs to the 3rd floor of the castle, and lie down of the floor for meditation. Some seating will be available. Please bring a comfy blanket and pillow so you can fully relax and enjoy. Space is limited and we highly recommend you register in advance to secure your spot.
