Slidewayz at the Zoo is back! This will be our 5th show of our 2025 Season at Kalamazoo Speedway and AutoMODIFIED is excited to be hosting it.
For this event we will be having a Mid-Day Burnout Contest. Anyone is welcome to enter. If you have a Driver Pass you can enter for free. Otherwise it is $30 to enter. We are opening it up to anyone. So come on out! Crowd is the judge.
Winner gets $100.
(If we have over 20 entries)
Winner gets $200.
Cost:
Driver fee• $80 (includes one person pit crew entry)
Spectator fee• $5
Children 12 & Under• Free
Pit Pass• $20 (ride alongs may be available with a helmet and seat belts/harnesses, so come prepared) ONLY one passenger per car.
Media pass• $20 (get front row/infield footage, hi-vis jacket, must message ahead of time)

Gates open at noon
Tech Inspection at 1pm
Track is live at 2pm
Day ends at 9pm
The layout will be announced midway through the week prior.
The event is tailored to both experienced & inexperienced drivers. We have something for everyone. In addition to our two driving lanes, we have added a tandem lane as well. Want to skip the line? Feel free to drive in the Tandem Lane. The entire infield is paved and serves as the only open skid pad in Mid Michigan.
This Track is great for Beginners and for Seasoned Drivers.
Track Rules:
•Must have a helmet
•Fire Extinguisher required in car w/easy access
•Harness/Seat Belt Required
•Convertibles must have Roll Bars
•Cars must not be actively leaking fluids
•Nothing loose in car, including tools, trash, or any other loose articles.
•No Alcohol is allowed in the pit section.
•No passing in Tandem Drifting
Concessions will be available onsite
The upper pit section will be the main pit area, if it fills up we have the lower pit section to open up as well.
Kalamazoo Speedway is not responsible for hauling or transporting any broken vehicles so plan ahead if driving in.
