Dialogismos examines the interaction between saxophone and electronics as a site for exploring dialogic processes in contemporary music performance. Interpreted by Henrique Portovedo on saxophone, the program presents a selection of works with electronics that interrogate breath, gesture, and timbral transformation: Apneia by Dimitris Andrikopoulos, Hotpo by Michael Edwards, Dialogismos by Nuno Peixoto de Pinho, and Somnambulicq by Alexander Khubeev. Collectively, these works articulate a critical framework in which acoustic and electronic domains function as interdependent agents, generating an immersive sonic discourse characterized by dynamic tension, continuity, and an ongoing negotiation between corporeal performance and technological mediation.
