Dance your Way to a sound mind is our annual event in celebration of Mental Health Month. This event will feature SisterFit Hip Hop Step and R&B Yoga instruction. As always we will have guest speakers who will talk briefly about mental health. We know that dance increases endorphines, boosts the mood, reduces stress, and increases cognitive function as well as gets the heart pumping. Thus it positively impacts your phsyical and mental health. In addition to the dance and yoga, we will have communty members speak about mental health from a personal and professional standpoint. We want to debunk any myths about mental health and offer a safe informal space for for discussion about a topic that is sometimes tabu in certain communities.

This event is free but we will accept donations of healthy non perishable individually wrapped snacks for our CHIPP feeding initiative. We encourage you to bring a friend or family member, a towel to wick away the sweat, a water bottle for hydration, and positive energy. You are not required to be super fit, very flexible, or have all of the right dance moves. We are out to have fun and create a sense of community.
