Native Planting Workshop at Paws University
Are you interested in learning how to plant a native garden? Do you want to beautify your outdoor space and landscape with native species? Then join Plant Pono, a program of the BIISC, for a FREE Native Planting Workshop! This event will be held at Paws University.
Learn how to plant and care for ‘āweoweo and māmaki, among other plant and animal lovers. All plants are pet-safe! Our knowledgeable instructors will guide you through the process, providing valuable tips and tricks along the way. You'll also get hands-on experience planting your native species and leave with free ones to take home!
In recognition of the Year of Our Community Forest, the Big Island Invasive Species Committee and the Department of Forestry and Wildlife are hosting this event.
