Join us for Red Tent North Canterbury's opening circle! This is a chance to connect, explore Red Tent & how we can enrich our lives together
Welcome to Find Your Tribe, our opening circle for Red Tent North Canterbury! This is a chance to connect, talk about The Red Tent and the ways our own local circle can enrich our lives and those around us – we would love to hear your ideas and what you would like to see.

🌹 About Red Tent Aotearoa
Red Tent Aotearoa was founded by Jill Natalia, who was inspired to create inclusive, supportive spaces where women across Aotearoa could gather, connect, and grow. Rooted in the global Red Tent movement and adapted to honour the land, cultures, and communities of Aotearoa New Zealand, Red Tent Aotearoa offers a space for women to feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Since its beginning, Red Tent Aotearoa has grown into a nationwide network of facilitators and circles—each unique, but all held with care, respect, and a commitment to women’s wellbeing. Circles are open to anyone who identifies as a woman, welcoming all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences.
Every gathering is grounded in the values of connection, community, and deep listening. It’s about reclaiming time for yourself, sharing your truth in a safe space, and remembering that you’re not alone on your journey.
Red Tent Aotearoa is not religious, and we invite anyone who identifies as female from 11 years + from all walks of life.
The Red Tent is a place for women to feel that connection and to offer and receive that support. We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe.
It’s our hope for everyone who enters each Red Tent to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.

🌹 What is the Red Tent and what do you do there?
The Red Tent movement is worldwide and stemmed from the book The Red Tent written by Anita Diamant. Red Tents are spaces created by women, for women to come each month and share their stories, relax, feel nurtured, seen, and heard. There is nothing required of you and the main goal is for you to relax, recharge and reset.
Each month at Red Tent North Canterbury is different, we invite a different woman to share her story, experience and interest with us so that we all can learn and become more confident. Some circles will cover subjects such as Coping with Grief, The Power of Menstrual Cycle Awareness, The Power of the Spoken Word, Find Our Identity, The Power Positive Touch. At other circles we get creative and learn new crafts or skills.
🌹 Who is the host and why does she do this?
There are many Red Tent Aotearoa trained facilitators across the country, each Red Tent is hosted by someone different.
I am Lisa Scott, founder of Red Tent North Canterbury. When not facilitating our local Red Tent, I am a holistic wellbeing mentor, therapist, and coach, supporting those who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Working alongside you, I help uncover what you truly need to live each day better and guide you back to a life where you can consistently return to your own place of peace.
Whether you’re navigating life’s daily challenges, healing from difficult relationships, or longing for a deeper connection with yourself, my strengths are supporting you in rediscovering your calm and living the life you truly desire.
As a proud resident of North Canterbury, I care deeply about the wellbeing of our community and believe every woman deserves access to spaces where she can feel heard, accepted, and empowered. By bringing women together across all walks of life, we strengthen not only ourselves, but the relationships, families, and communities we’re part of.
Red Tent is about building one another up. It’s about connection, healing, and the simple but powerful act of showing up—together.
🌹 What type of women come to Red Tent?
Women from all age groups, all backgrounds, beliefs, and countries. Women who are ready for a shift, women who are tired of the status quo, women who want deeper connection to themselves and others. We invite anyone who identifies as female from 11 years + from all walks of life.
