This event brings together two of Martinborough’s distinct voices—Karahui Wine Bar & Restaurant and @Blue Earth Estate—for a one-of-a-kind tasting experience as part of Pour & Explore Martinborough.
The concept is simple yet bold: to explore the harmony between extra virgin olive oil, local wines, and Asian-inspired cuisine. Through a guided tasting of Blue Earth’s premium olive oils, guests will discover how flavour, texture, and terroir translate across ingredients. Each oil will be paired with small, thoughtfully prepared tasting dishes from Karahui that draw from Asian culinary inspiration—designed to highlight unexpected yet compelling flavour combinations.
The evening will culminate in a curated wine flight from Blue Earth, demonstrating how olive oil and wine can both elevate and be elevated by food—especially when the food pushes boundaries in a fresh, local context.
The event will include a guided olive oil tasting featuring Blue Earth’s extra virgin oils, paired with a custom-designed tasting menu from Karahui that explores how Asian flavours interact with olive oil.
