TOPIC: Mango Madness
SPEAKER: Warren Lau
Warren Lau will be our speaker at the August meeting, talking about mangoes. In the meantime, he has been providing scions of many varieties, for grafting on your trees, or rootstock. Let Lisa Wright know if you are interested in getting mango scions. Warren has offered to graft for free, at the August meeting, or by appt. in Cerritos) if you bring a potted rootstock. Manila mango (usually found at big box nursery centers, and local nurseries) has often been suggested as a fairly inexpensive rootstock.
We are organizing a post meeting field trip to a mango grove. Stay tuned for details.
Meeting starts at 7pm, but gate and doors open at 6:30 pm (or even earlier) if you'd like to come a little early for social visiting or go visit the orchard.
We also live stream the meetings. If you would like the zoom link, message us here.
The general public as well as CRFG members from all chapters are invited to come to our meeting (though we hope we'll talk you into joining us - we do have a lot of fun, and learn a lot about growing fruit).
