Course Description:
Please come and explore the more gentle side of massage therapy with Manual Lymphatic Drainage. The two main functions of the Lymphatic system are to maintain fluid balance and immunity. So why aren't more clients concerned about the health of their Lymphatic System? We as massage therapists need to educate them and that starts with educating ourselves!
This course is based on the techniques developed by Dr. Emil Vodder, Ph.D.. During our two day course we will explore the anatomy of the Lymphatic System. With that, we will be able to discuss the traumas that happen to the body which affect the perfect function of this System. While in Lab, we will practice strokes that will benefit the clients with detoxification, and most beneficial ways to assist the Lymphatic System with proper drainage using the drainage patterns in the anatomy. Both mornings will start with a lecture followed by hands-on practice. Intro to Lymphatic Drainage will give you the tools/education you will need to competently perform the techniques of Lymphatic Drainage for all body areas for clients with low to no Lymphatic Dysfunctions.
