Dear hikers,
Prepare yourself for a night hike in sannine mountain, which is considered the third highest mountain in Lebanon after the Makmel's mountains and Mt Hermon.
Mount sannine is a source of many mount springs.
This event is so unique, we will observe the milky way, stargazing so many constellations, planets and the perseids meteor shower which will be at the peak during that night (100 meteor shower per one hour) as well as the sunrise when we reach the peak (2650 m).
We start our climb at the elevation of 1900 m from sannine village, hiking between stones, then we track toward the summit passing by the Rocky ridge and the summits of the seven crosses under million of stars. We will observe during our hike the full moon as well as the perseids meteor shower, so the sky will be good for stargazing that can be so unique in Mt. Sannine because there is no light pollution during our hike. We can see Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Ursa Major and minor, cassiopea, the orion belt, milky way and so on.
When we reach the summit, we will have a break enjoying a unique 360 degree view during sunrise.
After sunrise we will head down toward warde - Kfardebian observing a panoramic view of the Bekaa of one side and the western slopes on the other side.

1- @ 10:30 pm: jal dib near DHL and Banque Libano Francaise facing the Canadian embassy (we can pick our hikers that live on our way)
2- @ 10:00 pm near Al Amine Mosque downtown Beirut.

Required materials : hiking boots, fleece, windproof jacket in case windy weather, backpack, hat, 3L of water, raincoat, sunglasses, sunscreen, healthy snacks (dates, dried fruit, fruit, almonds, oat, protein bar), woolen hat and gloves, torches.
Fees: 20 USD (including transportation, guidance, giveaways, but does not include medical insurance)
