Summary: The ultimate concert movie of its time, Woodstock is a landmark film that captures the counterculture of the late sixties through the prism of the three-day Woodstock Festival that took place in August of 1969 near Bethel, New York. Attended by nearly half a million people, the film chronicles the event in detail from its inception all the way through the emergency air-delivery of food and medical supplies by the National Guard. Packed with legendary musical performances, interviews and candid footage of festival goers and workers, Woodstock is an essential portrait of America at the end of the 1960s.
