Auditions for "The Outsiders"

Audition Dates: August 18 and 19 at 7 p.m.
Performance Dates: October 16-19, 23-26, 2025

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No preparation necessary. No experience necessary. You must be 14-years-old to audition for this production. Please bring a complete list of conflicts with you to the audition. There are roles for 9 young men (teens-20’s), 3 young women (teens), 3 adult men and 2 adult women. Trinity Bird will direct. Mandee Leigh Howard is the stage manager.

About the Play: The Outsiders is a searing story of real kids in real situations with real consequences seen through the eyes of young Ponyboy. Territorial battles between the have-it-made rich kids — the Socs — and Ponyboy’s tough, underprivileged “greaser” family and friends are just a part of life. But even in the midst of urban gang warfare, somehow Ponyboy can’t forget a short poem that speaks to their fragile young lives. This heroic story of belonging, friendship, and maintaining hope in the face of struggle is a powerful reminder of what young people encounter every day.

PLEASE NOTE: This production contains adult situations including romantic moments and violence. A professional fight choreographer will be part of the production team. Please review the source material (the original novel and/or film) if you have questions regarding content.
