Vincent Neil Emerson w/ Leon Majcen Live at The Jackson Theatre

Vincent Neil Emerson has become a staple among folk and country music fans nationwide, known for his honest tales of life on the road, heartbreak, and struggle. His 2019 debut album, Fried Chicken & Evil Women, introduced his storytelling style, but his latest record, The Golden Crystal Kingdom, expands his sound, pushing beyond honky-tonk country and into the electric folk traditions of artists like Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

Born and partly raised in East Texas, Emerson grew up around his Choctaw-Apache family, moving frequently and finding inspiration in the world around him. He has drawn from his personal history in songs like "Learning to Drown," written about the loss of his father, and "Ballad of the Choctaw-Apache," which explores his tribe’s devastating history. The Golden Crystal Kingdom, produced by Shooter Jennings, finds Emerson further defining his voice, balancing rock and roll energy with sharp storytelling.

Through collaborations with Steve Earle, Rodney Crowell, and Charley Crockett, Emerson continues to craft songs rooted in personal experience, while carrying on the tradition of his singer-songwriter heroes. He brings that same raw emotion and energy to the stage, making his live shows as powerful as the records themselves.
