JJC Guitar and Percussion Ensembles Concert

JJC's guitar and percussion ensembles will perform in their annual spring concert on Friday, May 9 on the Fine Arts Theatre (K-1000) on Main Campus.

The JJC Guitar Ensemble will present a program focusing on the genres of folk, blues, and modal jazz. Featured works by Herbie Hancock, Adrian Ingram, Chris Buzzelli and others will include a healthy dose of improvised solos by the members of the ensemble.

The JJC Percussion Ensemble will perform a variety of exciting contemporary works spanning the genres of classical, Latin jazz, pop and world drumming. Featured composers include Ivan Trevino, Clif Walker, Ney Rosauro, Ben Wahlund and others. The ensemble will be featured on a rousing arrangement of traditional Brazilian samba drumming to close the concert.
