Ten-time IBMA award-winning songwriter, singer & fiddler Becky Buller and Banjo Hall Of Famer Ned Luberecki are bringing an evening of their delightfully delusional indiegrass roots music to the Down Home in Johnson City, TN, on Thurs., Oct. 23rd at 7:30 pm.
Becky, a 2001 alumnae of East Tennessee State Universityβs Bluegrass, Old-Time & Roots Music Studies, has written for many notable artists, including songs on three GRAMMY award-winning albums by Molly Tuttle, The Travelinβ McCourys, and The Infamous Stringdusters. Becky is also a member of the Minnesota Music Hall Of Fame and the ETSU Alumni Association board. Her song cycle album, Jubilee, debuted on the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart at #1 in June of 2024.
Ned, the 2018 IBMA Banjo Player and 2023 IBMA Broadcaster Of The Year, is a DJ on SiriusXM Satellite Radioβs Bluegrass Junction, where he has pioneered the art of teaching banjo over the airwaves. He toured and recorded extensively through the years with Paul Adkins & The Borderline Band, The Rarely Herd, and Chris Jones & The Night Drivers before joining the Becky Buller Band in 2015.
When performing as a duo, stellar songwriting, mighty musicianship, quirky covers, and cornball comedy combine to create a cup overflowing with joy and light only live music shared with real people in real time and real space can bring.
