Join us for the inaugural Jessup Groundhog Day, a hometown Pennsylvania tradition inspired by Punxsutawney and reimagined with local charm.
The morning begins with an official Groundhog Day ceremony at Station Park featuring our very own prognosticator, Jessup Giuseppe — a ferret in a top hat with a forecast for the year ahead.
The ceremony includes founding fathers in traditional attire, an official scroll reading, music, and a family-friendly community gathering. Following the ceremony, everyone is invited to continue the celebration at the official after party at Jak’s Pub and Eatery with food, drinks, and music.
This is a free, community event open to all ages.
Date: Sunday, February 1
Time: 8:00 AM (Ceremony begins promptly)
Location: Station Park, 103 Church Street, Jessup, PA
After Party: Jak’s Pub and Eatery
Come be part of the beginning of a new Jessup tradition!!
