โจ We are delighted to announce that the Pentecost Room at the Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center will open to the public on September 1st.
As part of the Notre Dame Experience, the Pentecost Room invites visitors to encounter the mystery of faith through immersive art.
Painted by Chilean artist Daniel Cariola (also known for The Encounter in Magdala), this monumental cycle spans walls and ceiling, depicting the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Mary and the Apostles โ the birth of the Church. Within it, 119 figures are represented: the Apostles, the Virgin Mary, and many of Jesusโ followers, including Lazarus, Mary Magdalene, and Jairus with his daughter.
The Pentecost Room is a place of prayer, encounter, and reflection, fostering unity among faiths and preserving Christian art in the heart of Jerusalem.
