*Jerusalem Barbershop Ensemble - Israel’s oldest surviving barbershop company, established 1983 and directed by Mort Rogovein (baritone and lead); Joe Romanelli (lead); Mendy Mendelsohn (tenor); Asher Arbit (baritone) and Dani Barkai (bass).
*Toby and Sharon - AKA Old Friends
Toby - My musical background is composed of many flavors: Niggunim from the synagogue and flower child songs of love and peace from my childhood and adolescence in the USA. A new blend of Middle Eastern and Israeli tunes on Aliyah in the seventies. Many years of classical choral music. A return to the earthiness of folk music. A degree in Expressive Arts Therapy with a thesis called “Sing for Life” that describes using the choir as a model for group therapy. An album entitled Sunclouds mainly my own music. Over the past year and a half, music has played a huge role in comforting and helping me and all of us find sustenance and incipient healing during such horrifically trying times. It is in that spirit that I wish to share with you some of the threads of my musical tapestry.
Sharon Klein, a veteran of the Greenwich Village music scene of the 80s and 90s has had a lush and varied musical life. She first picked up the guitar at age 8. She has had a lifelong love affair with the guitar, which morphed into songwriting, singing and music production. Her early influences were the Beatles, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon.
Sharon grew up in Queens, NY, in the days when New York City was the hub for all things songs and pop music. While living in the iconic New York neighborhood of Greenwich Village Sharon fronted two bands featuring her music. She has shared stages with Madonna, Richie Havens, Patti Smith, Mary Travers, Grace Jones, Dave Van Ronk, and many other luminaries of the time as she developed her songwriting and playing style. She has had her music performed in the Super Bowl, Saturday Night Live and has had a song on the Billboard top 100 charts.
Sharon has visited and toured in almost 40 countries, and now makes her home in the beautiful Hudson Valley. She is a regular, in-demand performer on the Hudson Valley Folk music circuit. Sharon has returned to her musical roots of deeply personal story songs, played masterfully on finger style guitar. The songs can be considered reminiscent of such artists as John Prine, and Bonnie Raitt. She also has dabbled in stringed instruments as varied as the oud and clawhammer banjo. An accomplished story teller, her songs will make you think, cry and smile all in one evening.

*Daniel started his musical journey with violin lessons at the age of 4. He quickly added voice and trombone and performed in many musical theatre productions in Jerusalem. Today he performs a wide range of genres on a wide range of instruments, bringing to bear his talents as a singer, actor, dancer, and musician. One can often find Daniel playing and singing bluegrass and Jewish music at weddings, or performing חזנות in synagogues around the country.
Tonight Daniel brings you his folksy side. A place of joy and laughter. A place where classic Irish folk, Marty Robbins, American Bluegrass, (and perhaps a surprise or two!) blend into an unparalleled emotional experience to make you smile.
Devil Went Down to Georgia
Love on Top
*Elliot Dobin (vocals and guitar) - If anyone can make the sun shine and a crowd smile it's Elliot. Elliott is one of our favorite musicians. His set will include some of his (and ours) favorite songs as well as some new ones. Whatever he chooses, we will surely be loved!
