*“The Unstrung Heroes” A threatening threesome (sometimes a fearsome foursome) specializing in a traditional folk repertoire: Canadian (in both official languages), English, Irish, Scottish, American. Members of the troupe: Ora Paltiel (vocals, spoons, kazoo); A. Mark Clarfield (guitar, vocals, banter); Barry Knishkowy (fiddle, vocals); sometimes one or two of children pop in to contribute and the inimitable Lynn Lewis on mandolin.
These local heroes, whatever their number, need very little introduction to our music community. They have played numerous times at the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem Folk Music Evenings and also at Jacob's Ladder, Zichrona and other folk clubs throughout Israel.
Eran Tzachany - Whether Eran is performing with his brothers, Ofir and Golan (Tomi), who were discovered on the programs Kochav Nolad 2 and 3 and appear together with great vocal abilities or with Jacki Levi, Moni Armon, Yossi Alphi etc, or solo (one man band), he is a wonderful, talented performer. His set can include anything from standard folk Americana and Israeli favourites to Yeminite dance tunes you are in for a treat. Eran enjoys performing so much, that it is hard to make him stop, and you don’t want him to.
ElainaJoye - Singer/songwriter from WA State brings a mix of musical styles, with ll joy, and rhythms from her Sephardi heritage
Jeremy Segal was in his first band, “The Segal Family 4”, with his mother and 2 sisters at the age of 6, singing mainly Peter Paul & Mary songs. He grew up singing harmonies, and enjoys playing and singing Bluegrass, Americana, Folk/Rock and other types of songs. Particular interests are songs by great songwriters like John Prime, Tom Waits, Hank Williams, Laurie Lewis and many you probably never heard of before!
