Music in Action presents: The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge
British Choral Music Across the Ages
📍 St Saviour's Church, Jersey
📅 Saturday 12th July
🕖 7:30pm – 9:15pm (90 minutes with a 15-minute interval)
As part of their Channel Islands and France Tour, The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge brings its internationally acclaimed sound to Jersey.
Highlights include Renaissance masterpieces by Orlando Gibbons, William Byrd, and Thomas Tallis, romantic and early modern works by Stanford, Howells, and Parry, and organ solos providing moments of instrumental reflection. The concert closes with Stephen Paulus’ moving anthem The Road Home, offering a serene and contemplative encore.
Altogether, the concert invites the listener on a journey through sacred choral traditions—ancient and contemporary.
Conductor: Steven Grahl
Described by The New York Times as "a heavenly experience", and ranked 5th in Gramophone Magazine’s list of the 20 Greatest Choirs, the Choir of Trinity College Cambridge comprises 30 choral scholars — all students of the University of Cambridge.
