Please join the Kirtan Collective Community for an evening of Yoga and Kirtan.
Mel is a 500-hr Yoga Siromani with a 28-year yoga practice who teaches a blend of styles influenced by the traditional Sivananda, Hatha, Ashtanga & Yin Yoga trainings taught at the Schools where she studied, chosen for their ethos of peace.
Mel teaches mainly in the West of the Island, aiming in her sessions to honour the true meaning of Yoga as defined by Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras, namely: "the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind."
As we lead increasingly busy lives, she feels this central intention of yoga is ever more valuable, yet it can often be lost in its translation from East to West - yoga is so much more than just a physical practice - it is only when all elements - mind, body & spirit - are combined that the greatest benefit is derived.
Mel is excited to be sharing a Relax & Unwind session with the Kirtan Community at The Bridge where she looks forward to seeing both new and familiar faces.
Kirtan:
Unlock your throat chakra and open your heart as we join together in chanting and singing mantras.
Access and activate your bliss (ananda) that resides within.
Please bring:
• Yoga mat (spare yoga mats available)
• Water
* blanket

6.30-7.30pm Relax & Unwind Yoga with Mel
7.30-7.45pm Break
7.45-9pm Kirtan with the Kirtan Collective Community
9-9.30pm Tea and Snacks (You’re welcome to bring some vegetarian snacks to share)
