Robert Slater Announces Campaign for Congress in Texas’s New District 29 with “Moving US Forward: Restoring Hope” Kickoff Rally
(Houston, TX) – On Thursday, October 9th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, community leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for justice Robert Slater will officially launch his campaign for Congress in Texas’s newly drawn District 29 with the “Moving US Forward: Restoring Hope” Kickoff Rally at the H-Town Event Center, 7303 Breen Dr., Ste. D1, Houston, TX 77086.
Sponsored by Efrin Patten of E. Patten Investments and hosted by Adrian Greene, this event will bring together community leaders, special guests, and neighbors from across the district to stand united behind a shared vision for progress.
With the recent redistricting under Plan C2333, the landscape of Houston politics has shifted. Over 40% of the current District 18 is now within District 29, while more than 60% of the previous District 29 has been moved into another district. In response, Robert Slater declared: “This is a NEW district, deserving of a NEW direction, NEW leadership, and a bold fight for the future.”
Slater’s campaign will focus on restoring hope, healing divisions, and rallying the community to take action now. The kickoff rally will highlight his comprehensive plan for healthcare, education, jobs, veterans’ rights, housing, criminal justice reform, and community empowerment.
“This is not just about redistricting lines—it’s about lives, families, and communities,” Slater stated. “District 29 is the new frontline, and together, we will fight for a future built on unity, accountability, and opportunity for all.”
