Welcome to the Paulo Rubio Masterclass: Correlations on Stick, Knife, and Machete!
Join us for an intensive, information-packed, and practice-driven workshop on combat sparring and real world self defense with sticks, knives, and machetes as expertly taught by Paulo Rubio.
Recommended (highly) Gear:

•2 Polymer or Aluminum training knife

•Hand Protection (similar to Red Dragon HEMA gloves or Lacrosse gloves)

Introduction to Functional Stick Fighting Drills
1. Double stick: Kwatro Kantos
2. Single stick: Tirsia Largo
3. Espada y Daga variation of Kwatro Kantos
We conduct these drills in a way that promotes:
1. Tactical footwork & mobility
2. Distance & proximity management
3. In-fight decision making
4. “Attack First” mentality!
5. Intelligent/Instinctive/Intuitive defenses
This is an introductory course fit for all levels.
These drill sets are easily accessible even for absolute beginners because they are comprised of fundamental movements. They can be done with safe padded sticks or rattan sticks.
Advanced students may bring with them hand protection and head protection (hockey/lacrosse gloves, fencing mask) to experience the true depths of these drills sets. Advanced students are highly encouraged to bring a training partner to this course!
