WORD UP WEDNESDAYS Presents... Joey Anderson + JATP LIVE on the Rooftop!

June star MrBlackman a singer, songwriter, musician and producer, but behind the scenes, he’s equally renowned as a community activist and mentor. With a goal to push positivity and explore sound, he has assembled the tri states top musicians for their first vinyl release; “Before and After” as June and the pushas. This iteration is intended by the general Sean patton on drums, Randy haze- lead guitarist, and Joe Warner on keys. Accompanied by Tory Daines-violin, Mark the “spark”-Bass, Stephen Miller -percussion, lead by the vocals/guitar of Junestar.

We are excited to release this heavily anticipated record at the end of June; available now for pre order at Astramusicgroup.com. JATP will be playing the record live on the rooftop at 902 in anticipation of their release. Tell a friend to tell a friend and get ready for a fun filled night as we celebrate our release.

At his core, Anderson is a house DJ, one whose roots in the scene go back to his days as a competitive dancer. If this mix is any indication, it seems that the same technical prowess and artistic flair that once guided his moves on the dancefloor has been successfully ported into the DJ booth. His knowledge of the music clearly goes back a long ways, but he's nonetheless balanced the mix between older and newer selections.
