Studio 203A's "Sunday Still-Life Sessions" are offered at the Jerome Art Center's Building A, in Studio #203. These sessions are new and will start off by being held on the 2nd Sunday of each month, from 10AM to 1PM.
The goal of these sessions is to build an artistic community that creates together (sharing experience and knowledge) in an "open-studio" format. This is not an instructional class, per se; however, compositional pointers for still-life drawing and painting setup will be reviewed at the beginning of each session.
Participants of all artistic levels are welcome!
Attendees can expect to find an on-site, unique still-life (composed with directional lighting) ready to paint upon their arrival.
A suggested donation of $10 per person to assist with studio expenses is appreciated for this 3-hour session
Participants should plan to bring their own art materials to draw, sketch, or paint with. If you do not have supplies, we have charcoal, chalk pastels, and newsprint on-site for your initial visit.
Coffee, tea, and a light snack are provided.
