Fr. Anil Alexander MoC (Missionaries of Compassion)
This is Fr. Anil Alexander, the new administrator of the IC family, effective from July 1st, 2024. His country of origin is India, and he hails from Kerala, one of the southern states of India. He has three elder Siblings in his family; two of the eldest brothers are catholic priests working as pastors in the Middle East (Sharjah, belongs to the order of OFM cap) and Australia (belongs to the order of Carmelite Missionaries). And the third elder brother is at home with his family. He completed his philosophical and theological studies in India and was ordained a priest on the 6th of January in 2009 for the Society of Missionaries of Compassion in India. In 2013, he was appointed as the Pastor of Kulam parish in the mission Diocese of Miao, the Northeastern part of India Bordering China and Myanmar, for ten years (with Tutsa tribals of Indigenous origin). He moved to Canada in 2021 for a new mission and was appointed as the pastor of St. Therese's Church Arviat, the Artic Mission with Eskimos in the Diocese of Churchill-Hudson Bay. He arrived in the Diocese of Lake Charles for the new mission on the 19th of January 2024 and was assigned as the pastoral assistant to St. Joseph church in Elton. On July 1st, 2024, he was assigned as the pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings. He was excited to join the Immaculate Conception family, this is his first assignment as pastor in America. His hobbies are reading books and playing football. He’s excited for us to travel together on our way to God's kingdom, supporting each other as good friends.
