Ein Virtual-Reality-Erlebnis unter der Regie von Alison Moore
Cloud Bodies ist eine immersive Erfahrung in Echtzeit, bei der die volumetrische Aufnahme von Tänzern mit den digitalen Wolken von fotografierten Landschaften verschmilzt. Die Topografie der Körper morpht mit der Topografie der natürlichen Welt. Geometrische Metadaten aus realen Umgebungen werden zu Punktwolken verarbeitet, die dann zu virtuellen Umgebungen rekonstruiert werden. Ein ähnlicher Prozess der volumetrischen Erfassung zeichnet die Bewegung von Körpern im x-y-z-Raum auf. Durch das Spiel mit Maßstab und Perspektive wird der Körper als Landschaft erforscht. Welche Beziehung hat der Körper zu diesen virtuellen und physischen Räumen? Welche neuen körperlichen Erfahrungen können wir mit diesen neuen Technologien simulieren?
Cloud Bodies wird durch den Québecer Arts Council und der Vertretung der Regierung von Québec unterstützt und gefördert.
Anschließend gibt es eine weitere immersive Performance „Humanity’s ET-Moment“ mit Felix Niemeyer und Linda Trillhaase

Cloud Bodies
A virtual reality experience directed by Alison Moore
Cloud Bodies is a real-time immersive experience using the volumetric capture of dancers merging with the point clouds of photo-scanned landscapes. The topography of bodies morph with topography of the natural world. Geometric metadata gathered from real environments are processed into point clouds, which are then reconstructed into virtual environments. A similar process of volumetric capture records the movement of bodies in x-y-z space. Playing with scale and perspective it will explore the body as landscape. What is the body’s relationship to these virtual and physical spaces? What new embodied experiences can we simulate using these new technologies?
Cloud Bodies is supported and funded by the Québec Arts Council and the Québec government.
After that there is another immersive performance „Humanity’s ET-Moment„.
