STEM Smart Parenting - Jeffersonville

The JTPL Jeffersonville location is pleased to welcome Dr. Lisa Hoffman and Dr. Alan Zollman of Indiana University Southeast! They will lead an interactive conversation on ways parents and caregivers can encourage their children to develop intellectual risk-taking that supports the creative problem-solving and the tenacity necessary for children's success in STEM disciplines.

Dr. Hoffman and Dr. Zollman are the authors of STEM SMART Parenting: A Practical Guide to Nurturing Innovative Thinkers, which was just published this April by Bloomsbury. The event will include an optional book signing with the opportunity to purchase a book at a library friends discount.

During the parent discussion, children in attendance will also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activity that promotes intellectual risk-taking and persistence.
