This semester, students will explore exciting Lego Mindstorm Robotics, these robots have a wide variety of sensors allowing us to make our robots understand the world better. We'll also complete a couple engineering challenges that students can take home.
May 2 is our annual Robot Parade! This class will be building robots and creating floats for the parade - their robots will use sensors to follow a line and not bump into the robot in front of them. There will be final touches in the morning and the parade will start at 1:00, so be sure to get that on your schedule!
This class is a wonderful opportunity for your 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and computational thinking in a supportive and engaging environment. It's also a great way for homeschoolers to collaborate, share ideas, and connect with peers!
Class Meets: Wednesdays, 10:50 AM - 11:40 AM Dates: Feb 4-April 29 (Please note: No class on Mar 25) This class has 2 extra sessions that are to serve as "built-in" makeups for classes missed due to weather and illness. If LabSpace cancels more than 2, we will make them up at the end of the semester.
Tuition: $120 for one child, $100 for a sibling. If you have two children enrolled in different classes, please chat with Miss Annette about a sibling discount before paying tuition. Our class minimum is 4 students, and we can have up to 10. If your child was in STEM Club Grades 3-5 last year, please register for the STEM Club Grades 4-6 Year 2 this year.
