Happy Sunday OCCer’s. We are 6 weeks away from our big packing party. How did the time go so quickly?!?!
I wanted to hop on to update you on a few things.
1) OCC Packing Party Meeting – Sunday October 19th after 2nd service in the Loft. I will be going over the different areas and what will be needed at each station.
2) OCC will be in the spotlight during the 1st and 2nd service. I will be talking about the OCC ministry and you will have an opportunity to take boxes home to fill as a family.
3) There will be no Wednesday Night OCC this week. We will be working on fishing kits and sewing kits when we return on Wednesday October 22d.
Everyone’s efforts have been felt these past couple of months. We have exceeded our goal on dental bags, hygiene bags, school packets for our 2 to 4 year olds, stuffed animals, jewelry making kits, spiral notebooks, and tic tac toe game sets.
We are looking for donations of the following items:
$10.00 shipping (1,200 boxes = $12,000 for shipping)
Jump ropes, yoyos, legos, puzzles
Fishing kit supplies – bobbers, hooks, weights, fishing line, lures
Embroidery string and buttons
Coloring books
Hand cranked flashlights
Clothes pins and clothes line
Cups
Utensils
Books for 2 to 14 year olds
Hot wheel cars
Barbie dolls
Socks and underwear for 2 to 4 and 10 – 14 year olds.
