First Day Hike 2026

Celebrate the beginning of 2026 with the First Day Hike!

Promoted by America's State Parks, the Missouri State Museum will host a 1.5-mile hike on the first day of the year. The hike will start at the Lohman Building (100 Jefferson St.) and end at the pavilion at Deborah Cooper Park. Bring 3.5mm jack headphones to use the provided listening device. Museum staff will have a limited number of headphones to offer guests.

Wear comfortable shoes, dress for the chilly weather and bring your favorite water bottle!

This FREE Hike begins at Lohman Building, 100 Jefferson St. at 1:00 p.m. and should last about 90 minutes. Pre-Registration is encouraged at https://mostateparks.com/FirstDayHikes
