🌅Sunset hike to Saydet El Kalaa - Chahtoul with LAT
📅Saturday 19th of July for an amazing sunset hike to Saydet El Kalaa at Chahtoul.
🏘️Chahtoul is a village in Ftouh Keserwan, situated at about 32 km from Beirut and at an altitude of about 950m to 1300m above sea level. It's the hometown of the Lebanese writer May Ziadeh. Chahtoul is renown for Saydet el Kalaa church, the lady's holy cave, and the cross on the hill.
🎬We will start our loop trail from Saydet El Kalaa at Chahtoul, where we'll have the chance to visit the old church and the lady's holy cave.
We will pass by old ruins, oak forest, ancient houses, before taking a downhill path in the forest that will lead us to Chahtoul campsite before ending our hike at Saydet el Kalaa.
🔺After finishing the trail, we will gather near a bonfire near Saydet El Qalaa and we will have the opportunity to taste Saj Zaatar, Jebbeh, tea, roasted potatoes etc… cooked by local villagers.

🕝Departure time:
🔸2:30am (sharp) Furn el Chebbak in front of Burger King on high way.
🔸 2:45 am (sharp) Dbayeh under Naccache bridge -Demerjian center before Spinneys on Highway.
🕙Return time 10:00 pm.
-NO stop on our way to Chahtoul. (Pls ensure to have enough water with you)
🚌We can pick up hikers who live on our way
