Mobile Lung Screenings

The Indiana University Health Mobile Lung Screening Unit will be visiting the Dubois County Health Department to offer convenient and potentially life-saving lung screenings for eligible individuals. The unit will be on-site at the health department from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST on July 31. This mobile unit brings state-of-the-art technology directly to the community, offering low-dose CT scans to those who qualify — helping detect lung cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages.

If you currently smoke or have quit in the last 15 years and are between the ages of 50 and 77, you may be eligible. The scan requires no needles, no special diet, or change of clothes. Lung screenings are typically covered by insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, if you meet eligibility requirements. You may be eligible for financial assistance if you have no insurance.
