Dark Sky Writing

In this fun generative writing workshop, we’ll look to the night sky for inspiration.

Generative writing helps us relax and write using creative instinct. It focusses on the act of getting words on the page without self-judgment or worrying about the finished product.

Using a series of guided prompts inspired by the dark sky, you’ll write and write and write. Expect to leave our session feeling inspired and ready to write some more.

Roberta Laurie has contributed to anthologies, literary magazines, and other publications. She is the author of Weaving a Malawi Sunrise and is working on a memoir inspired by letters left by her father as well as a collection of wilderness-inspired essays.

Roberta received her master’s degree in Environmental Education and Communication through Royal Roads University. She teaches remotely in the Communications program at MacEwan University and lives in the Canadian boreal where she enjoys clear night skies painted in a canopy of stars.
