Yoga 101: Everything You Need to Know to Begin
Yoga 101 is the perfect place to start, whether you are brand new to yoga or returning after time away. This welcoming, educational workshop is designed to take the mystery out of yoga and help you feel confident, supported, and truly at home in the studio.
We cover everything you might be wondering about but were afraid to ask. You will learn foundational yoga poses, how to use props, what to wear, how to breathe, and how to modify movements so they work for your body. We break down common Sanskrit words you will hear in class, explore different styles and lineages of yoga, and explain how our classes are structured so you know exactly where to begin on the schedule.
You will also be introduced to the Jax philosophy and what makes our community different. Yoga at Jax is not about performance or flexibility. It is about building strength, awareness, resilience, and a sustainable practice that supports your real life.
