Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah is the transliteration from the Hebrew letters and it means "Head of the Year". Usually set around the time of harvest it begins to show the "fruits of one's labor" that was initiated during the first days of spring. As we observe and celebrate we reflect on all that Our Creator has provided as it is written, "Oh how great is thy goodness, Which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, Which thou hast wrought for them that take refuge in thee, Before the sons of men!" -Psalm 31:19.

Not only celebration but reflection on how one squandered opportunity and took for granted what the Creator has provided in preparation for Yom Kippur. Observance starts on the eve of Rosh Hashanah which is the beginning of the New Moon on Oct 2nd
