Join us at VFW Post 1848 on Saturday, May 3 from 12–3 PM for a powerful photography exhibit by Larry Atherton, a Jackson native, Marine, and former combat photographer.

Before serving our country, Atherton captured life in Jackson as a photographer for the Jackson Sun. He later took his talents to the frontlines of Vietnam, where his camera told the stories of Marines and the resilient Vietnamese people with raw honesty and heart.

His photographs are more than images — they’re living history. Come experience the war through the eyes of someone who lived it, served with honor, and never stopped telling the story.
